ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

1. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS THREE YEAR PROGRAMME:

   Minimum of five (5) CXC (CSEC) General Proficiency (Grades I-III) or GCE subjects.
   Compulsory - English Language, Mathematics (Recommended)
   Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Test (CAPE)/ Other Requirements
   Passes in at least two 2-Unit CAPE subjects or two GCE Advanced level subjects or the equivalent.
   B.Sc. Social Work

   DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

   Each applicant, irrespective of academic qualifications, must satisfy the following departmental requirements:

   Request two (2) referees to submit to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs, CONFIDENTIAL references attesting to his/her suitability for professional Social Work.

   Submit along with the application forms, a personal statement of between 250 and 300 words in length, giving his/her reasons for wanting to study for the degree in Social Work.
   Attend as requested an interview with the Faculty of Social Sciences personnel or in respect of applicants from non-campus countries, with persons nominated by the Faculty.

HOSPITALITY & TOURISM MANAGEMENT (B.Sc.)
A Joint UWI/University of Technology degree Offered over a four-year period and comprising of courses taken at both Universities.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Subjects at CXC (CSEC) General / GCE O’Level

Minimum of five (5) CXC (CSEC) General Proficiency (Grades I - III) or GCE subjects Compulsory - English Language, Mathematics

DIPLOMAS Diploma in Population and Development Diploma in Psychology Diploma in Social Work Diploma in Sociology

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an approved university OR Have in the opinion of the University practical experience or other qualifications of special relevance to the programme.
