Profile
Located in the middle of the Caribbean hurricane belt and with an
active volcano since 1995,
Montserrat has had a troubled recent history with
natural disasters. Since the active volcano period commenced,
the capital of Plymouth has been evacuated, and now
most activity occurs in the relatively unaffected northern
section of the island. |
Government Strategies
Government disaster response has been exhausted by the recent
series of disasters to strike the island.
