The M. Sc. FAPT (Full time)

Programme duration: 16 months
Credit Requirement: 45 credits (minimum) to include credits from all nine (9) core courses and a research project.

Programme requirements:
Semester 1: Four core courses (15 credits)
Semester 2: Three core courses (11 credits), and one of two elective process specialization courses (3 or 4 credits)
Semester 3: Two core courses (7 credits) and one of two elective process specialization courses (2 or 3 credits)
Semester 2-4: Research Project I or II (6 credits or 12 credits)

*A minimum of six credits from elective process specialization courses is required

Programme duration: 28 months
Credit Requirement: 45 credits (minimum) to include credits from all nine (9) core courses and a research project

Programme requirements:
Semester 1: Two core courses (8 credits)
Semester 2: Two core courses (8 credits)
Semester 3: Two core courses (7 credits)
Semester 4: Two core courses (7 credits)
Semester 5: One core course and one of two elective process specialization courses (7 credits)
Semester 6: One of two elective process specialization courses (3 credits)
Semester 5-7: Research Project I or II (6 or 12 credits)

Post-Graduate Diploma FAPT (Full time only)


Programme duration: 12 months
Credit Requirement: Minimum of 22 credits selected from core courses, and must include Agro-Processing Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology and Biotechnology, and Food Safety and Quality Standards

Programme requirements:
Semester 1: Minimum of three core courses (11 credits minimum)
Semester 2: Minimum of two core courses (7 credits minimum)
Semester 3: One core course (3 or 4 credits)
