 Mr.
Dudley Barrett is the Executive Director of B & B Institute,
a tertiary level institution offering professional training
in business management and accounting. Although accounting
was his calling, Mr. Barrett felt he could contribute to education
by being a provider, hence the B & B Institute which he
started in 19984 offering the Certified Professional Secretaries
Programme.
Mr. Barrett was also instrumental in the introduction of
several other professional courses, namely the Certified Public
Accountancy (CPA) and the Professional Certification in Human
Resource Management at this institution.
A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Barrett is the
Manager of Barrett & Company an Auditing firm providing
services both to the private and public sectors.
His affiliations are :
- Member - Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica
(ICAJ),
- Member – United Church of Jamaica
- Former Treasurer – Joint Committee for Tertiary
Education (JCTE).
His philosophy is “ Our Greatest Glory should not be
not so much in never falling but in rising every time we fall.
“ “ You can achieve what you will.”
He lists his interest as cricket and is married with 3 sons.
