Heather Cateau

Heather Cateau is the lecturer with responsibility for Caribbean History at the University of the West
Indies ' St. Augustine Campus. She has held this position since 1995. Her research focus has led to a revisionary approach to plantation and enslavement systems in the Caribbean . Her latest publications include Beyond Tradition co-edited with Rita Pemberton and the Caribbean in the Atlantic World co-authored with John Campbell . She has held Visiting Fellowships at the University of Iowa and the University of Cambridge.
