A star record under the name Westinlit has
been created in our reservations system. Please advise participants
to quote this
reference to the Air Jamaica representative when bookings are being
made to access the discount and its relevant rules.
For participants who are not travelling directly to Grenada, Barbados,
Trinidad and Puerto Rico are the available connecting airports.
1) BWIA routing. One can take BWIA from Jamaica to Trinidad and
connect that same evening to Grenada on LIAT. Alternately one can
take BWIA from Jamaica to Barbados and connect that same evening
to Grenada on LIAT.
For participants coming from Trinidad, Caribbean Star, LIAT and
BWIA are the available carriers.
2) Those coming from the UK could connect thru Barbados oar Trinidad,
and those from the US, should they choose Air Jamaica, will connect
through Montego Bay. American Eagle comes to Grenada daily, so participants
from the US may also choose American Airlines and connect thru San
Juan, Puerto Rico.
Visa:
Citizens of the USA and Britain are not required to have a visa
to enter Grenada. Also exempted are citizens of the USA, Britain,
the British Commonwealth and and Western Europe.
Transportation:
At the start of the conference, St George's University will do the
transfers from the airport to the hotels. Accordingly, we will need
to know the arrival time and hotel arrangements of all participants.
This information should be made available to us as soon as possible.
Participants will be required to make their own transportation arrangements
at the end of the conference. Below are the costs:
Destination: Point Salines International Airport - from True Blue/Morne
Rouge and general Grand Anse area - Day costs: $25.00 EC/ $10.00
US for 1 to 4 persns and $5.00 EC for each extra individual.
Night Costs: $35.00 EC and $5.00 EC for each extra individual.
Exchange rate: US $1.00 = EC $2.70
