LS15A- Computer Literacy for Information Professionals

This course provides an introduction to the basic concepts and techniques of operating computer systems. It allows the student to create a foundation upon which to build the study of automation in the information environment. Hardware and software management, data representation and processing as well as the basics of telecommunications are included. Because what is involved is a human service delivery system, special attention is paid to the impact of computers on society.
