Dr. Karen Carpenter, PhD, CST

Dr Carpenter is an Educational Psychologist and a Florida Certified Sex Therapist (CST). She is a founding member of the Caribbean Sexuality Research Group (CSRG) and is currently employed to the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaican language Unit where she conducts psycholinguistic research. Dr. Carpenter lecturers in Applied Linguistics, Developmental Psychology and Research Methods. She has worked at all levels of the education system both locally and internationally for close to 30 years. Her areas of interest include development across the lifespan, human sexuality, phenomenological studies and HIV/AIDS prevention & control research.

Dr. Sidney McGill, DMin, PhD (can), CST

Dr. Sidney McGill is a founding member of the Caribbean Sexuality Research Group (CSRG), a practising Sex therapist and a Family Counsellor. Dr. McGill co-hosts a weekly radio programme "Sexwise" on Irie FM and is a frequent contributor on sexuality and mentoring in the Jamaican print media. His interests include developing the study and practice of Sexology and Mentor-Coaching by integrating Integral Theory within these fields. He is also the co-founder of the Family Counselling Centre of Jamaica, a not-for-profit counselling centre and the Coalition in Support of Adolescent Leadership Training (CSALT), leadership.

Mr. Gavin Walters MSc Health Psychology

Mr. Gavin Walters is a Senior Research Assistant with the Sexuality Research Group. He holds a Masters degree from the University of Leads, UK. He is an active researcher who lectures part time in Personality Theory and Cognitive Psychology.

His own research is in the area of Substance Use with particular focus on Tetra Hydo Cannabinol (Canabis Sativa).
