Innovation in Caribbean Bilingual Learning and Teaching
About the Programme
An intensive teacher – training programme the Bilingual Learning & Teaching in Caribbean Vernacular Contexts is designed to take participants through the theory and practise of bilingual delivery in Caribbean languages and English. This week–long training course forms part of an active research environment, which affords participants the unique opportunity of interacting with the Bilingual Education Project (BEP) team in Jamaica. A team of experienced linguists, psychologists, researchers and teacher – educators facilitate the training process. Hands on experience in the practise of bilingual delivery, school visits, and interaction with local teacher colleagues all form part of this comprehensive course of studies.
Participants may chose from two, course options a) residential stay and b) off site enrolment, both options offer the same week long course of study and access to University of the West Indies facilities. Applications are available on line and our administrative staff is available to answer your queries at michelle.bryanennis@uwimona.edu.jm.
