Software Engineering Research and Development

At the Software Engineering Lab, our primary focus is on component-based software enginnering (CBSE). We also provide software engineering (higher level phases) and project evaluation services in conjunction with our research agendas.

Our predominant research interests are:

• e-Learning - In particular, the classification and reuse of learning objects.

• Security Requirements Engineering - The inclusion of software security related issues during the development of a system\'s functional requirements.

• CBSE in Industry - Specifically, the development of a reusable software architecture for an accounting information system.

• Quality Assurance - The development of component certification techniques to be used in the asssembly of relaible systems.

• Component Design - An examination of how the properties of software components may be used in design and implementation activities.
