We have two research degree programmes leading to the MPhil and PhD degrees.
These degrees are awarded on the basis of original research culminating in a dissertation.

MPhil
Entry Requirements: At least an upper second class honours degree in Computer Science.
NB: Acceptance is subject to the availability of a supervisor within the department.
Length of programme: Minimum of two academic years
Other Requirements: All MPhil Students are required to do the course CS60R - Research Methodologies in Computer Sciecen (6 credits). This course aims to provide the incoming MPhil student in Computer Science with the asic training necessary to make a smooth transiton to the point where he/she will be able to confidently start pursuing his/her research in a safe environment.

PhD
Entry Requirements: Applicants must have an MPhil or an MSc degree in Computer Science.
NB: Acceptance is subject to the availability of a supervisor within the department.
Length of programme: Minimum of three academic years.
