- These labs may be reserved at other times. These times will be posted in the lab.
    - Other students will not be allowed to use the reserved labs during these times

  Open only to research students!
     
LAB RULES
The computer laboratory's resources are always in great demand. Because of this, careful attention must be given to the rules of the laboratory. This will ensure that the resources are used in a way that prolongs their life.

  • Do not eat, drink or smoke in the laboratory.

  • Only students with valid university identification cards will be allowed entry and access to the facilities of the laboratory.

  • Do not play computer games on the computers in the laboratory.

  • Do not use the laboratory facilities if the laboratory technician is not present. Instructions given by the technician must be adhered to.

  • Leave bags in the designated area.

  • Do not disturb others with loud and unnecessary talking.

  • Do not use computers, computer accounts and computer files that you do not have authorisation to use.

  • Do not tamper with the computers (open, or otherwise illegally access) in any way.

  • Abide by Software copyrights and licenses.

  • Respect the privacy and personal rights of others. Accessing another person's electronic mail, data, programs or other files without their permission, is an infringement of this right. Such an infringement will be considered intent to cheat, and be treated by the university as such.
