Requirements
A
first degree in Mathematics with at least an upper second-class
honours.
Programme
Structure
This
degree is offered in association with the Tropical Reseach
Institue (TMRI). Candidates will obtain funding to complete
the courses in Semester II. Enrollment is full-time.
A
candidate must enroll full-time and register for three
of the courses offerred ub Semester I of the Mathematics
MSc programme, including Multivariate Statistics (STAT6220).
Upon successful completion of these three courses, the
student will proceed to the Medical Unversity of South
Carolina (MUSC) to complete the second semester, which
will include the writing if a supervised thesis. This
part of the programme will be fully funded by a grant
from the National Institue of Health (NIH) in the United
States.
