JACQUELINE SMITH

Jacqueline Smith studied ballet with Fay Simpson, then Dance with her teacher Neville Black at Sts. Peter and Paul High School (now Campion College). While in High School she also represented Jamaica in Lawn Tennis. She joined the NDTC in 1978 and danced with the Company for 14 years. She completed her Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition in 1998. In 2003, Jacqui won the Miss Jamaica Female Body Building Championship and attained Certificate in Sports Massage and Manipulation in July 2004 and a Certificate in Classic Western Massage Therapy in November 2004.  

Throughout her career, Jacqui has played many roles in the fitness arena.  She started out as a Freelance Fitness Instructor for the period May 2002 to April 2003 then moved on to Grace Kennedy’s SPARC Gym as the Operations Manager from May 2003 to Dec 2004.  She then transitioned into a part owner/operator of Le Sculpteur Gym which took over from SPARC Gym and officially worked as a Group Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer from January to October 2005.  She then moved to Tres Joli Limited as a Personal Trainer / Massage Therapist between November 2005 and March 2007.  Taking a break from the fitness world was short lived for Jacqui as she was pulled back in on March 2009 and she is still at it working from Ultimate Fitness Gym part time and working with home clients mainly with rehabilitation.

She is the proud mother of a 30 year old daughter and a 26 year old son.
