About JESD
The Jamaican Economic Statistics Database (JESD)
contains statistics for five commonly used Jamaican economic indicators.
It offers clear descriptions and contextual information for each indicator.
The datasets begin as early as 1962 and end with the latest available figures.
The data series compiled are from statistics provided by the Bank of Jamaica and the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN).
Users may download data series of interest.
Currently, the JESD is a pilot database.
The goal is to build this database, update its information on a regular basis and to make available a wide range of economic statistics for Jamaica and other countries in the Caribbean.
The JESD contains a link to a directory of databases which will help users locate other economic indicators not currently found in the database.
