Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)

•  This is an investment in a country involving a long-term relationship and control of an enterprise by non- residents. It is the sum of equity capital, reinvestment of earnings, other long-term capital and short-term capital.

Gross Fixed Capital Formation

•  This is measured by the total value of a producer's acquisitions, less disposals, of fixed assets during the accounting period plus certain additions to the value of non- produced assets realised by the productive activity of institutional units.

Official Development Assistance (ODA)

•  This represents grants or loans from multilateral agencies and donor countries to assist developing countries in their development process at concessional financial terms.
