Housing Accommodation Services
Services provided include:
- Identification of private housing for use by the University and negotiation of lease agreements
- Allocation of staff housing, making arrangements for the accommodation to be in a state of good repair and clean before new occupant moves in and providing assistance during the settling-in period
- Making arrangements for repairs identified by occupants of staff housing
- Overseeing the use of public buildings and university recreational facilities, arranging for cleaning, maintenance and routine inspections to ensure that the facilities are in good condition
- Providing accommodation for examinations and official functions. Liaising with other sections in the department to ensure that the facilities are prepared and that sufficient staff is in place
- Identification of major housing repair needs and liaising with relevant Service Sections to have these repairs completed.
