Advanced Training
& Research in Fertility Management Unit,
headed by Professor Th Honourable Hugh Wynter, provides promotes,
develop and deliver training, research, outreach and clinical
services in the areas of Reproductive Health and Health and Family
Life Education throughout the Caribbean region. It also provides
MSc counseling via distance education and offers a number of workshops
throughout the region.
The Tropical Metabolism
Research Institute (TMRI), directed by Professor
Terrence Forrester, manages the Sickle Cell Unit, the Epidemiology
Research Unit, the Tropical Metabolism Research Unit and the Chronic
Disease Research Centre. These units are involved in intensive
research in their niche areas and provide critical assistance
to the public health sector.
