This
course examines some of the ways in which Public
International Law contributes, or may contribute,
to development in a number of discrete contexts. In particular, it requires students to
examine international legal rules with respect
to Human Rights, the Law of the Sea, Counter-Narcotics
efforts, Trade and Investment, and to assess
the extent to which these rules promote or undermine
economic development. This course is intended to build on the
foundation created in Principles
of Public International Law (GT 25M).
