University Counselling Service (UCS)

Located in Room 14 at the University Health Centre, UCS offers services designed to help develop greater understanding of self and others and to enhance personal well being by examining issues such as:

 
 
  • academic performance
  • anger management
  • abuse/trauma
  • depression
  • interpersonal/romantic relationships
  • time management
  • sexual assault
  • sexual harassment
  • self esteem
  • parental pressure/conflicts
  • personal growth and well being
  • sexual identity/orientation
  • anxiety/stress
  • adjustment to university
  • eating disorders
  • loneliness
  • exploration of values
  • homesickness
  • marital issues
  Office Hours    
  The opening hours for the University Counselling Service are  Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Call us or come by to set up an initial  assessment appointment. This appointment will usually be scheduled within a few days. During this appointment, the counsellor will explore your needs and discuss appropriate avenues for receiving help for your concerns. Referrals to other agencies or mental health professionals may also be recommended.
