does a Peer Counsellor do?
|
- Help other students to help themselves through lay counselling
and practical support
- Gives students an opportunity to talk about their educational
and personal/social concerns
- Promotes mental health through organized programmes on topics
relevant to students.
- Helps students make better use of the resources of various agencies
on and around campus
- Facilitates communication between students and administration
- Acts as a possible channel of referral to the University Counselling
Service
- Maintains student confidences.
