Students are expected to make themselves familiar with the books and journals in the Library (both open shelves and RBC) and to make independent use of them in preparing their papers. The Library is quite well stocked with introductory texts and mention is made below only of some of the more useful titles. There is a small stock of books at the Archaeological Laboratory on campus; these books are marked with an *. They can be consulted there by arrangement with the archaeological technician in charge.
