  1. Development of Strategies and Policies for the University of the West Indies, Mona.
  2. Administering the Staff Development Fund.
  3. The compilation and indexing of Committee decisions relation to Human Resources.
  4. Mapping Human Resource processes and procedures.
  5. Training in recruitment for administrative staff, Deans and Heads of Department..
  6. The compiling and updating of the following manuals:
    • HRMIS Recruitment Training Guide
    • Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual 1974-1995
    • Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual 1996-2005
    • Human Resource Business Recruitment Process
    • Annual Staff Review Manual for Deans and Heads of Departments
    • HRMIS Recruitment Training Guide – Job Requisitions
  7. Provide support in applying for user access to the Human Resource System.
  8. Provide research support services to the HR Division in the achievement of the Division’s objectives, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

 

  • To lead the ongoing development and implementation of the University’s Human Resource Strategy thus ensuring the delivery of a sound effective and efficient Human Resource Service that proactively meets the University’s needs.
  • To ensure that Human Resource policies, practices and processes are properly documented and communicated to all customers.
