The
following services are available to you, if you are unable to
visit the Mona Library.
- Book and Article
Delivery
Request all the books and articles you need using the
form below. If the Library is unable to send the book (s) requested,
you will be sent the content pages and asked to indicate the pages
you need. The Library will then photocopy the pages and send them
to you. If the book or article is crucial for your research but
the library does not own it, you may request an interlibrary loan.
You should bear in mind, however, that this process is sometimes
slow and if the lending library charges, you will have to pay
the cost. Place a request.
Books and articles from the Mona Library will be sent immediately
by courier or e-mail to the site administrative assistant who
will notify you of their arrival. However, you may request that
an article be mailed directly to you. You should receive requested
items no later than one-week after your request was made. You
are allowed to keep books borrowed for one month. Fines will
be charged for overdue materials ($50 per day for books from
the reserved collection and $20 from the open shelf collection).
- Reference and Research Services
The reference service is designed to provide answers to the same
kinds of questions you may ask on the phone or at the Library’s
Reference Desk. Reference questions are usually concerned with
research, finding information, and learning about library resources
and how to use them. Reference

- Access to Electronic Resources
You may personally access the Library’s online catalogue
for references and past examination papers. (Click
here to learn how to search
for examination papers). However, if you are having problems
consult your site administrative assistant.
Databases can be accessed from your UWIDEC Sites only.
Several databases contain full-text of articles. (Click
here to see list of
databases and their coverage).
- Site collectons
Remember also that Each UWIDEC Site maintains a collection of
core texts, supplemental readers, past examination papers (you
may also access examination papers from the online catalogue)
and journal articles for your convenience. Please contact your
administrative assistant for access to this collection. Suggest
a purchase for on-site collection.
