Computer Scientist/Electrical Engineer who co-invented what could be the world's first cardiac surgery simulator, a device used to train students in doing heart surgery. This invention has generated interest from some of the leading hospitals in the United States and has been used in the training of more than 140 cardiothoracic surgery residents in the United States at the Thoracic Surgery Directors Association (TSDA) Resident Boot Camps (intensive training sessions for physicians who are beginning their residency training in cardiothoracic surgery) and has been shown to be a very effective training tool.

The cardiac surgery simulator provides educators with an opportunity to find many innovative ways of training cardiac surgeons. The simulator solves the problem of allowing surgeons to train in realistic conditions without putting anyone at risk.
