Mona Electronic Reference and Information Centre (MERIC) is the
Library's computer-based research facilities, located in the Main,
Science and Medical libraries.
Access to the following services is available in MERIC:

via the World Wide Web

Electronic

The Library's
OPAC (Online public access catalogue)
Printing
is available at a cost of $5.00 per page
Word processing
SPSS
Access to
printed reference materials (Main Library only)
Guidelines for use
MERIC is provided primarily for users doing academic research
in the Library, it is not a general computer laboratory. Users
are asked to refrain from excessive use for e-mail and personal
internet searching.
Users will have access to only what is explicitly offered on
the workstations, and changing or adding to the configuration
of the workstation is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply with
any of the conditions of use of MERIC will be considered a serious
offense, which may result in the suspension of Library privileges
and other University sanctions.
Data can only be saved to the floppy drive.
Users are not allowed to use their own equipment to connect
to the network in MERIC.
Downloading or uploading of files from internet is not allowed
