Searching by Call number
  • The call number is a unique code assigned to each item in the Library. It
    • identifies the item in the collection
    • helps you locate the item on the shelves
    • serves to group books together according to subject

  • Searching by call number is like searching by subject terms. If you’ve found an item that is useful, you can use its call number to find other related items.

  • Searching by call number on the OPAC virtually allows you to browse the shelves from your computer.
