  • BiomedCentral is primarily an electronic publishing platform for scientists.
  • Centre for Caribbean Health Database of African-Caribbean Health Issues. - To increase the awareness of healthcare professionals and the community by facilitiating access to expertise. This computerised database allows
    their field of expertise. It encloses details of individuals, voluntary sector groups, local community projects and other organisations who have experience working specifically with the African-Caribbean population in the UK or who work with black ethnic minority groups or those who conduct health research in this area.

  • PubMed The National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to over 10 million citations in Medline, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to participating online journals.   • Biomail - BioMail is a free small web-based application for medical researchers,
    biologists, and anyone who wants to know the latest information about a
    disease or a biological phenomenon. It is written to automate searching
    for recent scientific papers in the PubMed Medline database.
  • Eureka Alert - EurekAlert! is an online, global news service focused on all areas of
    science, medicine and technology operated by AAAS, the science society.
    EurekAlert! provides a central place through which universities,
    medical centers, journals, government agencies, corporations and other
    organizations engaged in research can bring their news to the media.
  • FDA News and Publications - Access to quality current information on United States drug and food
    administration aimed at promoting and protecting public health.
  • PubCrawler - PubCrawler is a free "alerting" service that scans daily updates to the
    NCBI Medline (PubMed) and GenBank databases. PubCrawler can keep
    scientists informed of the current contents of Medline and GenBank, by
    listing new database entries that match their research interests.
  • Science Daily - ScienceDaily is one of the Internet's leading online magazines and Web
    portals devoted to science, technology, and medicine. The full text
    articles are selected from news releases submitted by leading
    universities and other research organizations around the world and
    covers news about the latest discoveries and hottest research projects
    in everything from astrophysics to zoology.
