About ASKMONA


Introduced in 2009, it allows you to connect with a reference librarian on research and related topics.

Who can use?
Students, faculty, staff and alumni of Mona Campus can use the service.

Hours
Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Email and face-to-face reference service continue even after the chat service ends.

Email Address
We recommend you include an email address for follow-up and for receiving a complete transcript of the chat and any links to web sites visited.

Netiquette

  • Be patient. Response time may be slow due to network traffic. A reference librarian will respond to your question as soon as possible.
  • Communicate in short sentences. Break messages in shorter chunks if your message is long.
  • Do not use upper case
  • Be courteous. Misconduct of any type is not tolerated
  • If you are unable to wait, you may submit your question by email and you will receive a reply within 24-hours.
