Dr. Robinson's research interests are in the field of Pest and Pesticide
Management. He has conducted studies on pesticide contamination in the Jamaican
environment, with emphasis on pesticide residue transport and levels in ground
and surface water systems. In addition, he has investigated the management of
crop pests (e.g. citrus root weevil and the coffee berry borer) using such methods
as nematodes, companion crops and botanical formulations. Dr. Robinson is currently
conducting research on West Indian Sea Island Cotton, organic agriculture and the
biological activity of extracts from selected Jamaican plant species.
