This course will examine 7 modern plays in detail from literary and dramatic angles, and will focus especially on the theatre as a forum for ideas.

Prerequisite: E10C

Instruction: 2 lectures, 1 tutorial per week

Evaluation:1 essay 20%
2 in-class tests at 8% each 16%
Class Tutorial presentation 4%
Final 2-hour examination (2 answers) 60%
