The course will examine 6 modern plays in detail from literary and dramatic angles, and will focus especially on the theatre as a forum for ideas.

Pre-requisite: LITS 1003 (E10C)

Instruction: 2 lectures and 1 tutorial per week

Evaluation: 1 essay 20%
2 in-class tests @ 8% EACH 16%
Class tutorial presentation 4%
Final 2-hour exam 60%
