LITS 3503 (E35C): DEREK WALCOTT, POET

Lecturer in charge: Professor Edward Baugh [Room 59 – New Arts Block]

 

A comprehensive examination of Walcott's poetic achievement with close study of selected works. Attention will be paid to form and style as well as content.

Prerequisite: At least one Level 2 poetry course

Instruction: 2 lectures, 1 tutorial per week

Evaluation: 2 coursework essays/textual analyses 40%

Final 2-hour examination (2 answers) 60%
