Dr Parker will deliver a Public Lecture entitled ”Confronting the Implementation Gap: Why do Good Ideas Fail to get Implemented?”

ABOUT THE PRESENTATION:
Why do most improvement initiatives miss the mark? Many businesses both locally and overseas have faced significant challenges in recent years, from the Global Financial Crisis to localized extenuating circumstances. As a result of these foreign and domestic challenges, many businesses will seek to implement operational improvement initiatives to bring-about positive change.  In this exclusive presentation UQ Business School’s Dr David Parker will draw on his experience to highlight the major causes why many change initiatives fail to deliver. Dr Parker will describe the key components that must be in place for any change to be successful.
