The Board of Directors of Universal Media Company Limited, operators of NewsTalk 93 FM, is pleased to advise that Ms. Jennifer Cheesman has been appointed General Manager of NewsTalk 93FM with effect from Monday, September 20, 2010. 

Ms. Cheesman brings a wealth of executive management, media and communications experience to the position, having served as Head of the Office of Planning and Institutional Research at the UWI, Mona since 2003 and, prior to that, in other executive management positions both locally and regionally. 

The holder of the Executive MBA, MA, Dip Ed and BA (Hons) degrees, Ms. Cheesman’s career spans education administration, publications, television and radio broadcast executive management.  As General Manager, she is charged with strengthening the NewsTalk 93FM product and presence locally, regionally and internationally.  

Ms. Cheesman’s appointment is in keeping with the strategic direction of the station and the overall strategic plan of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
