The University of the West Indies, Mona will provide live streaming of the Memorial Service for Professor Emeritus, Professor Alston Barrington ‘Barry’ Chevannes which takes place on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10 am in the University Chapel, Mona.  The service may be viewed at http://tv.mona.uwi.edu/#. Persons may also access the site through the UWI TV link on the UWI, Mona home page (http://www.mona.uwi.edu). The service will also be broadcast live on the cable channel JNN.
A condolence book has been opened for Professor Chevannes at the Undercroft of the Senate Building. Persons wishing to sign the book may do so on the day of his funeral.

The UWI, Mona will also host an evening of tributes and cultural items for Professor Chevannes in the Oriental Gardens, next to the Mona Visitors’ Lodge. Persons interested in delivering tributes should contact Mr. Michael Holgate, Acting Head, Philip Sherlock Centre for the Creative Arts, in order that they may be scheduled on the programme.
