Office of Student Recruitment (Undergraduate)

STUDY OPTIONS INCLUDE:

 ü  Part Time (minimum 4 years completion) - day/evening classes

Students can register for a maximum of three courses per semester. Ideal for those who wish to:

  • reduce tuition cost
  • reduce academic workload
  • balance study and extra-curricular activities
  • transfer to fulltime minimum after completion of twentyfour (24) credits and 2 academic years
  • work and study (some courses may be offered day time only

 

üFull Time (minimum 3 years completion) - day/evening classes

Students can register for a maximum of five courses per semester. Ideal for those who wish to:

  • reduce study time
  • have the opportunity to explore other disciplines for a flat tuition rate
  • study abroad for one or two semesters abroad at one of our

 

üTransfer

Students can transfer to any one of the four Campuses after completion of the first year courses provided they meet the programme requirements (conditions apply). Ideal for those who wish to

  • stay at home longer (young adults)
  • undecided in programme choice/major
  • reduce accommodation cost for one year
  • have to re-locate

 

üSpecially Admitted

Persons who wish to pursue individual courses rather than complete a degree programme, may be eligible to be admitted as a ‘Specially Admitted” student.  Ideal for:

  • Persons sponsored by governments or other employers to read certain courses, not for credit towards a University qualification, under a special arrangement.

  • Private individuals who wish to pursue and develop a particular area of intellectual interest.
  • Graduates of the University of the West Indies, or of other recognised universities, who wish to pursue a particular course or courses:

            ü  to equip themselves for a particular job;

   ü  to increase efficiency in the performance of a job;

   ü  to satisfy entry requirements to a programme in this or another institution;

   ü to update or improve their knowledge in a subject.
