- Never assume that a fire alarm is false.
- Follow the established fire plan and evacuation procedure for your building if an alarm should sound.
- Contact Campus Security at with the identity or description of anyone causing a false fire alarm.

Always remember, "Crime does not take a Holiday".
- Lock all doors, desks and files before leaving your office, lab, Hall room.
- Secure your valuable items, TV, CD player, stereos, radios and computers.
- Don't leave keys in your work area.
- Turn off all unnecessary lighting.
- Inform a family member, friend or classmate where you will be and when to expect you back.
- If you are going to be away from your campus home for a period, inform Campus Security so that they can monitor.
