Second Annual Columbian Track and field Camp

Monday, July 4, 2016

The UWI International Track & Field Camp Ran from the 20st of June to the 4th of July. The camping experience was set to be the perfect balance between learning, fun and athletic development.

Training

A typical day would consist of 2 training sessions at the track with coach Okiele Stewart, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Here techniques and training regimes are perfected.

Learning

Daily English classes were enlightening, tons of fun and a good opportunity to exchange culture.

Recreation

There was no lack of fun or exciting activities, as daily there would be some thing to look forward to and in turn something to remember. In the first place, shopping in new Kingston made was delightful. In like manner our visit to emancipation gave campers a chance to let loose. Not to be outdone, Waterland was simply breath taking, the perfect mix between excitement and tranquility. Our final outing was Doctors Cave Beach Montego Bay where, Campers got to enjoy the famous sun sea and sand of Jamaica. That experience will not be forgotten for years to come.
