MINORS are available in Linguistics for students willing to do a  minimum of 15 CREDITS in the discipline. A minor would require  L14A and L14B and at least 9 other linguistics credits. We suggest 
you choose from the following:

(1)    Interested in Language and Social issues?
L23A- The Sociology of Language
    L23B- Socio-linguistics
    L25A- Language, Gender & Sex
    L33D- The language of Negotiation
    L331- Language Planning

(2)    Interested in Language & Communication?
L25A- Language, Gender & Sex
    L24B- Structure of the English Language
    L23B- Introduction to Socio-linguistics
    L33D- The Language of Negotiation
    L33C- Discourse Analysis

  • Most Level 2 courses in Linguistics are time tabled for the afternoon, from 12p.m. onwards.
  • All Level 1 courses are in the evening after 4p.m.
  • New & interesting courses such as L280 - French-Lexicon Creole, are offered.
