Together, we can achieve recognition, justice and development for people of African Descent. Let’s take action to #FightRacism, celebrate #MandelaDay and honour the voices and culture of the people of African Descent.

The agenda includes musical performances, a mini-documentary produced in Latin America, conversations with experts and inspiring voices from young people of African Descent.

Vice-Chancellor of The UWI, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles will be featured alongside:

  • Michelle Bachelet, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
  • Dr. Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of UNFPA
  • H.E. Ambassador Fatima Kyari Mohammed, Permanent Observer of the African Union (AU)
