Nelson Mandela once said “it always seems impossible until it’s done.” When we started with 33 students at Gibraltar Camp seventy two years ago, we did not imagine having nearly 4,000 students across 7 undergraduate programmes, with postgraduate training in over 40 areas. It looks like a lot has happened from 1948 to 2020 but we are not done yet.
Building on our tradition of excellence we seek to advance learning, create knowledge and foster innovation in health for the positive transformation of the Caribbean and the wider world. This mission is a big ambition that is going after change and impact. I welcome students from across all of our disciplines and all of our staff working in every corner of the Faculty. There are a lot of impossible things left for us to do. Let us come together, join hands and get them done.
