Professor Noureddine Benkeblia Joins the Editorial Board of VEGETOS

Professor Noureddine Benkeblia, an internationally recognised plant scientist with expertise in plant physiology, postharvest biology, and biochemistry, from the Department of Life Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Mona has been appointed Editorial Member and Section Editor for VEGETOS (Plant Physiology & Biochemistry), effective January 2026.
 
VEGETOS: An International Journal of Plant Research and Biotechnology is a peer-reviewed, bimonthly, hybrid journal published by the Society for Plant Research since 1988. The journal publishes original research across botany, plant biotechnology, agriculture, and environmental sciences, with a strong emphasis on biodiversity conservation, sustainability, climate change, and plant molecular biology. Since 2019, VEGETOS has been published in collaboration with Springer Nature, significantly expanding its global visibility and impact.
 
As a leading platform for cutting-edge plant science research, the journal supports the dissemination of advances related to species conservation, crop resilience, and sustainable agricultural systems.
 
The Faculty congratulates Professor Benkeblia and wishes him every success in his new portfolio.
