Inga N. Laurent is an Associate Professor and Director of the Externship Program at Gonzaga University, School of Law in Spokane, Washington in the United States of America. She is an active member of the National Externship Community, serving as Co-President of the Externship Section of the AALS Section on Clinical Legal Education from 2013- 2015 and as a member of Externship Committee of the Clinical Legal Education Association since 2011. Aside from her work with externships, Professor Laurent is engaged in advocating for racial equity with an emphasis on addressing racial disproportionality in the criminal justice system and diversifying the legal profession. Prior to working in an academic setting, Professor Laurent worked as a staff attorney with Southeastern Ohio Legal Services (SEOLS) under a grant from the Federal Violence Against Women’s Act (VAWA). While at SEOLS, she provided holistic civil legal services to victims of domestic violence. Professor Laurent received her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her B.A. from Westminster College.

Dr. Laurent is currently a U.S. Scholar in the Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program where she is undertaking research while in the Faculty of Law. Her project tilte is: "Empowerment Over Imprisonment: Moving the Hearts and Minds of the People of Jamaica and the United States from Retributive to Restorative Justice".
