The Department of Chemistry, UWI, Mona will run a “Better Process Control School” Workshop from January 9-13, 2012 starting at 8 am daily at the Chemistry Lecture Theatre 5 (Chem 5), UWI, Mona. It is a FDA-approved food safety certification course designed especially for supervisory and managerial personnel in the food industry, food inspectors and other individuals involved in quality control at this level. 
The course will provide instruction in 15 topics which are examined for certification, and is a part of the regulatory requirement in Jamaica and the US for food industry personnel.
