The Instructional Development Unit (IDU) at UWI, Mona presents a lunch and learn discussion entitled, Developing  Independent Learners in the University Classroom. The discussion takes place on Wednesday, March 21 at 1 pm at the IDU. It will seek to explore practical ways to foster independent learners in the classroom at the University level.

UWI students are often told that they expected to “read for their degrees” but some students struggle to cope with managing their learning. The weaning from the secondary level for others is sudden and permanent and they too find it difficult to take responsibility for their learning.

Interested persons may contact the IDU at extensions 2341, 2730 or 970-0376 or email, idu@uwimona.edu.jm
