The 2013 Caribbean Youth: Unique Strengths and Challenges

The Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work will be hosting their 10th annual Psychology Conference from February 20th – 22nd under the theme “The 2013 Caribbean Youth: Unique Strengths and Challenges”. The conference promises to be an interesting one and is open to the public.
 
Wednesday February 20th:: Opening Ceremony at the Undercroft 10:00am - 4:30pm
 
Thursday February 21st : Research Presentations at the Faculty of Law Multi-Functional Room 10:00am - 2:00pm
 
Friday February 22nd : Panel Discussions and Psychology Jeopardy at the Main Library Multi-Functional Room 10:00am -2:00pm.This event will feature panel discussions with adolescents under the themes of:
• Sex and Sexuality/ Body Image – Chaired by Dr. Samantha Longman-Mills, Clinical Psychologist
• Child Abuse – Chaired by Mr. Alexis Goffe, Director, Jamaicans for Justice
• Social Media – Chaired by Dr. Marcia Forbes, Media Consultant
