Third Sport Anti-Doping Workshop

The Faculty of Medical Sciences and the Norman Manley Law School, in collaboration with Jeffrey Benz, former General Counsel, United States Olympic Committee present the 'Anti-doping in Sport 2013' workshop.This third in the series of anti-doping in sport workshops to be staged on the grounds of the campus, will examine the Jamaican programme for strengths and weaknesses, with a focus on strengthening the weaknesses, real or perceived.The workshop will feature the controversial and well respected Richard 'Dick' Pound, who  has openly questioned the bona fides of the Jamaican testing and assurance programme. The programme will then present an opportunity to dialogue with Pound and other presenters. 'Anti-doping in Sport 2013' will enable an evaluation of ongoing anti-doping in sport developments and will discuss how best to maintain and continually represent to the world that Jamaica has a zero tolerance approach to doping in sport.
