The Workshop is a collaborative effort by the School of Education and Operation Save Jamaica. The participants are teachers and community organizers from schools and organizations in volatile communities. These participants are confronted on a daily basis, with situations of unresolved hurt and resentment among groups which are usually played out in more and more violence and which presents roadblocks to meaningful change.This Workshop in Restorative Justice is aimed at providing the participants with a tool which seeks to repair harm and heal hurts caused by acts of violence, through a process of helping parties in a dispute to face each other, speak and listen to each other and arrive at their own solutions.The workshop will be facilitated by Mrs. Pauletta Chevannes, Coordinator, Change from Within Project.
