UWI co-hosts 12th International Conference on Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries

The IFIP Working Group 9.4 Conference on Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries, co-hosted by the University of the West Indies, Mona and ICT4D Jamaica, brings together scholars from information systems, development studies, political science, social anthropology, and sociology to discuss research and practice in the area of information and communication technologies for development.

 

Conference Keynote Speakers include Minister of State in the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, Julian Robinson; Professor Saskia Sassen, Professor of Sociology at Columbia University, USA and Professor Sundeep Sahay, University of Oslo, Norway.

 

Local and international researchers and practitioners from around the world will present and discuss insights in a number of tracks related to the Conference Theme: Into the Future, Themes, Insights and Agendas for ICT4D Research and Practice.
