The American Friends of Jamaica, Inc (AFJ)/Cobb Family Foundation Lecture Series
You are invited to attend The American Friends of Jamaica, Inc (AFJ)/Cobb Family Foundation Lecture Series on Tuesday, February 10 at 5:00 p.m. at the Assembly Hall on the campus of The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus. This annual event is being held in association with The UWI, the Jamaica Fulbright Association (JFA) and the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Kingston.
The Lecture Series which began in 2006 and now scheduled during the annual UWI Research Days activities, provides a public forum for discussion and debate of the pressing issues that affect the future of Jamaica.
The lecture to be presented by Professor Byron S. Wilson, Department of LifeSciences, Faculty of Science and Technology (UWI), is entitled, “Imminent Extinctions in the ‘Land of Wood and Water’: can they be averted?”
